In an editing class that I took, the teacher gave the class the opportunity to collaboratively copyedit the manuscript of her friend, the author River Ames, on her upcoming novel, “Gideon’s Justice.” Here is my twenty-two page section out of a two hundred and thirteen page novel that the class as a team copyedited. The client wanted me to do copyediting and proofreading for her essay on Margaret Atwood’s poem, “Siren Song,” before it was submitted to her Advanced Research and Literary Analysis class’s journal. In the class, they had an academic journal, entitled, “The Journal of Myth and Legends,” that they had to maintain throughout the semester. In the Formalist Approach section, her paper was the only one out of three to four applicants that got accepted and published in the journal. Click here to view .

This is the first chapter of a long-term project of editing this client’s entire novel. She wanted light content editing, to ensure that the dialogue was believable, and the story was realistic. Click here to view .

This project was for a client who wanted the first section of her novel to have comprehensive, or content editing, completed, to ensure that the dialogue was compelling and the story flowed. In addition to comprehensive editing, I also did some copy editing, for the major grammatical and diction errors. Click here to view .

This is my section of a collaborative editing project for a client’s self-reliance teaching manual for her church group in Boise. I completed proofreading, as well as copyediting. I also ensured that all links were current and that copyright laws were followed, since this manual was a local, specialized version of the client’s church overall self-reliance manual.
